Originally, it began as an agricultural contracting business and later ventured into drainage work during the 1970s. However, it wasn’t until the 1990s that Jas P Wilson found its true calling and niche in the field of forestry.
Today, the company remains a family-owned enterprise, with James’ sons playing integral roles in the business’s ongoing success. Over the decades, Jas P Wilson has grown to become one of the leading suppliers of forestry and firewood equipment and machinery in the UK. The company collaborates with a diverse range of customers, including Forestry Contractors, Tree Surgeons, Country Estates, Biomass Producers/Retailers, Colleges, and Local Councils.
Operating from a continuously expanding 20,000 square metre facility located in Dalbeattie, South-West Scotland, Jas P Wilson’s team comprises over seventy skilled professionals. This dedicated team includes designers, engineers, service technicians, and sales staff. The facility houses workshops, design studios, offices, and a specialised training centre, all working together to provide comprehensive support to customers.
